Overview
Herding Hill Farm is a top quality family
owned and run site and is the closest caravan &
campsite to the most complete section of
Hadrians Wall & Haltwhistle. The park is
beautifully set in an idyllic rural location and
offers a warm welcome and relaxing holiday.
Herding Hill Farm has pitches for tents,
caravans, motorhome and also offers
accommodation in the sites own wigwams.
Pitches
Thirteen level 9m x 9m hardstanding gravel
pitches built to Caravan Club Standards. Three
of these are serviced super pitches that come
equipped with their own individual drinking
water and waste water gullies. All our pitches
have 16A electric hook-ups. Towards the front of
the site there is a level grass area for small &
large family tents and each pitch has 16A
electric hook up. Additionally there is a two
acre area further down the site for tents
without electric.
Facilities
Facilities include an under floor heated
amenities block with showers, sauna, drying
room, laundry room, secure undercover cycle
store, elsan disposal point, Aires EC Service
Station-Motorhome point, dish washing area and
they also have a kids play area, tea room and
shop on site.

Hexham Race Course
"This
site is situated right on the edge of the
racecourse. On race-days you can watch the race
from the comfort of your caravan. Although it is
£17 per night we love this site. The showers and
toilets are - although basic - free and large.
It rained heavily whilst we were there but after
the rain - apart from the grass being wet you
would not know it rained.
There are no hard standings but they are not
needed as the site is so well drained. The
nearest pub (The Mill Inn) is a mile and a half
away - they do great meals and brew there own
beer. (Hexhampshire brewery) We have stayed here
twice now and intend to go back. The entrance
fee to the racecourse is £14. but if you stay on
the campsite it is only £7. Wonderful views all
round and a good little town close by.."
