"The site is a 'featured' one and has everything on it. Shop, pub, washing up area, elsan point, playground, dog walking area. Each unit has its own individual space with ehu. There is also a large rally field. The site is situated in an old quarry so you are surrounded by high cliffs making it sheltered and very spectacular. There are very few lights at night on the site so a torch is essential. John got lost walking the dogs and couldn't find our van! The toilets, showers and washrooms are kept clean and tidy and it says there is underfloor heating in there but I didn't notice it. The advantage about its location is there is a bus that travels into Ashbourne from outside the gate, you can walk on to the Tissington Trail and either walk or ride your bikes in safety. You can also hire bikes. Lots of local attractions, just a car journey away. We didn't eat in the pub on site but our friends did. They described the food as 'passable pub grub' but nothing special. Prices weren't bad. We paid £31 for 2 nights in September .I'd certainly go there again and give it 8/10 overall" Reviewed by Bellasbus (Joan)
