Situated in the Southern Ardeche in the picturesque area of
Planzolles in the Cevenne Mountain’s of France.
The location is surrounded by spectacular views,
beautiful pine forests, vineyards and wildlife.
13 pitches for tents & caravans, pitches offer
partial shade and are bound by hedges and trees.
Mobile homes and tents available for hire. Pool,
Bar, Sports facilities and much more on site.

Campsite Review By Tom n Gill
Camping Le Ch'ti Franois is set on the lower
slopes of the Ardeche hills. Medium sized site
set in the countryside, a couple of miles from
nearest town. Medium sized pitches, most of
which are shaded. Got the usual facilities,
toilets, showers, disabled loo and shower,
dishwashing, clothes washing (also a washing
machine if needed )play area for kids and a
cracking swimming pool and paddlng pool for the
kids. To top it off, there's a bar in main
season. We went in September when the site was
very quiet indeed. This suited us down to the
ground. Even in September the sun was cracking
the flags during the day, about 85F in old money
but because of the height, the nights were nice
and cool for sleeping. Nearest big supermarket
is about 10 minutes journey away but there are
small shops nearer in Lablachere. The Campsite
is set in a lovely area, just turn left outside
the campsite, drive for a few miles and you are
in the middle of spectacular scenery and miles
and miles of deserted roads. We even saw an
eagle on our travels, unfortunately the eagle
saw us and promptly decided to take its leave!!!
Would we go again? Damn right we would! But
next time, probably go late June, early July as
the days are a bit short in September. If you
don't fancy dragging your caravan all the way
down there, there are statics for hire. Some of
them have cracking views of the hills across a
vineyard. |
