9 other winners of two tickets, so that's 18 more people.

Should be a great show.
You should see the new 2014 touring caravan models from all the leading UK and European manufacturers
All these should I understand be there:-

Swift, Sterling, Sprite, Bailey, Lunar, Elddis, Coachman, Adria, Hobby, Hymer, Airstream, Eterniti Slide-Out Caravans, Van Master, Auto-sleepers, Gobur and Fifth Wheel.

Can't make it this year but if I were going I would head for:-

Ssangyong Motor UK Ltd Stand Number      17-87    Grin

Should be a good selection of campervan conversions from Murvi, Vantage, Concept Multi-Car, IH Motorcampers, Devon Conversions, WildAx, Wellhouse Leisure, G & P Campervans, Hillside Leisure and Bilbo’s.

Son and I went to NEC yesterday and had a good look round.

I have been going every year now since 2002 and when I first started going it was mostly caravans with a few motorhomes and campervan converters - now it has grown enormously but there don't seem to be any more caravans - it's nearly all motorhomes!

I looked for the Romahome stand - I remember last year's as I spent some time there - but we couldn't find one at all this year and they weren't listed on the show "plan".

We spent most of our time looking at pop top campervans and I was particularly impressed by the diminutive Wheelhome Vikenze and G & P's Midi Tour Campervan.

Sadly most pop tops have the ubiquitous rock 'n roll beds that I hate, I wish more converters would show a bit of imagination re beds. Interestingly, Wellhouse had an electrically operated r 'n r bed on show - but he couldn't demonstrate it as the battery was flat and he didn't have a charger (Huh he did have a number of vans there with on board chargers - it wouldn't have taken rocket science!) Even more interestingly - no, they don't use it in their own conversions!

I had a good look at the Doubleback VW conversion as I had thought it looked interesting - but I wasn't at all impressed by the reality of it, the small amount of extra room really doesn't justify the cost, IMHO.

I took a photo of a sweet little bright pink teardrop caravan, but I can't find the PC lead for my phone to upload it.

I omitted to pack up my usual sustenance for the day and paid heavily for that - sandwiches at £4.50 and £1.95 for small bottles of pop (I didn't dare ask what the coffee cost).

Future ref for those who do take their own provisions - there is nowhere inside the halls but you can get a pass out and there is plenty of seating in the outer hall.

We enjoyed the day out, thank you 365.

The red Vikenze in the picture.

But no, the G & P one I was interested in was on a high top Doblo and had a bench not an r 'n r bed.
