Try towing a caravan with a brand new Volvo!

The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show Half-term week February 17 – 22 Birmingham NEC
Fun for all the family – advance tickets from just £7*

Leading caravan tow car maker Volvo and The Camping and Caravanning Club have teamed up to offer visitors at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show the chance to try towing a caravan under expert guidance, for free.

Both seasoned caravan enthusiasts and newcomers can give towing a go in a safe and controlled environment outside the NEC at the UK’s largest start-of-season holiday showcase. Cars available to try include the towcar award winning Volvo XC60 and the 15 minute sessions can be booked by visiting  www.caravancampingmotorhomeshow.co.uk Those taking part must bring both parts of their driving licence.

Volvo will be showing a V40 D2 R-Design hatchback at the entrance to Hall 1 and also has a presence at the exhibition (Hall 2 stand 2310) where people can get towing advice and view an exciting mix of the company’s vehicles, including:

V60 R-Design – a stylish 5-door sportswagon in sports R-Design spec
V40 Cross Country – a rugged, Cross Country version of the V40 Hatchback
XC60 R-Design Lux – a design-led family SUV with focus on safety, practicality and in-car connectivity
XC70 SE Nav – support car for Madison Genesis cycling team, sponsored by Volvo Car UK

Andrew Whalley, NCC Events managing director, said: “Learning how to tow a caravan properly is incredibly important and our Towing Experience is specifically designed to help people understand how to do so correctly. Safety is a major priority for our industry and by offering features such as this at the show we are helping to make sure that caravanners know what they are doing when they hitch-up-and-go on their next trip.”

The show also features other tow car manufacturers, including Jeep and Ssang Yong, and with more than 350 other exhibitors, it is a fantastic value, family day out for both newcomers and enthusiasts alike. Other attractions include the Experts’ Theatre with a host of celebrity guests such as Ray Mears, Sally Gunnell and Matt Baker, live cookery demonstrations, have-a-go free activities and an at-show first outdoor clothing demonstration and advice session.

Organised by NCC Events, a wholly owned subsidiary of industry trade body the National Caravan Council, and supported by The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club, advance show tickets* from just £7 can be booked by going to: www.caravancampingmotorhomeshow.co.uk or calling 0844 581 1250.
