with our report back from the show. Join some of our
members and make a holiday of your visit to the many

THE NATIONAL BOAT CARAVAN AND OUTDOOR SHOW

Back
We attended the show on
Friday 20th February 2009, still a great show with one
of the biggest variety of outdoor units and equipment,
boats, caravans, motorhomes, tents, tow cars and
equipment all in one place. Having said that we found that the show did
not appear to have the number of visitors present as previous
years.

This year the tent pavilion was not exhibited but
a good display of tents was available at the rear of the
caravan hall.
A good sample of the 2009 ranges were on
display but without doubt the biggest crowd puller was
the new Indian Lake by Outwell, Indeed we witnessed the
crowds several deep around the tent. Outwell, Vango, Khyam,
Coleman and Sprayway tents were all on display and available for
purchase, also a good selection of the makers accessory
ranges is also available. |

The caravan hall is
very well attended with most of the major players on
show with a good selection of vans to tempt you with. As
with previous years the show sees the launch and first
public airing of several new models and one of great
interest was the new Xplore Electric, a lightweight
caravan made by the explorer group which does not need
any gas only electrics. |

The show being the
outdoor show also has a hall filled with boats
which gives you a great opportunity to look at what's is
available. At this years show there was a good display of
Narrow boats not only for sale but for rentals and these
craft seemed to be a big crowd pleaser. Not only
have you a mini mariner in the hall but also a canoeing
lake for the children.

Finally the show not
only has a great exhibition of motorhome’s from all the
makers including a great display of rather large
American motorhome’s and fifth wheelers but a good
display of tow cars were on display. The new SsangYong
Rexton was on display in both its regular and R-line
guise and it looks a very good car for the price
especially with the special show offer from SsangYong |
