We visited this site with our motorhome at the end of May 2008 just prior to the TT races. The owners of the site could not have been more hospitable and had a welcoming cuppa for each guest to their site. It would seem they have a lot of repeat bookings each year and so that is a recommendation in itself.

They were originally farmers but have now turned the farm over to camping and they also let some of the fields to a neighbouring sheep farmer. Their son is the island's dog-warden and there are kennels to house the strays. We were only disturbed one night by this and the owner was quick to move the distressed dog to kennels at the back of their house so it didn't upset us again. It would be very easy to miss the sign for the site and the landmark for the turning is a little white chapel about 2 or 3mls before Kirk Michael. The entrance would be a little tight with a large caravan but not impossible. The facilities are more than adequate but housed within the old barns. There are toilets, showers, cooking facilities (pots, pans, crockery and cutlery) and even a seating area to have a shared meal if it is raining. A nice touch is that any food left by campers is placed on the worktop for others to help themselves. There is also a fridge and freezer for visitors to use. And a washing machine and drier paid for on an honesty basis. The site is set out in a number of fields. It is situated on a hillside and we had views across to the Mountains of Mourne in Ireland and even Scotland on a clear day. There are 2 thoughtfully laid out cottages, if you don't fancy camping. In my opinion, this site is particularly suited to tenting and for those attending the TT, there would be no need to take loads of gear as it is provided in the barns. The TT can be seen from the campsite and within very easy walking distance. Its a lovely area for dog walking with glens and a golden beach within 30mins. walking distance. Very reasonably priced - we paid £10 per night plus £3 for ehu. Apart from the washer/drier, all other faclities were included in the price. I would certainly recommend this site as a true 'value for money' site.
