Outwell
Sun Valley 8
(Sleeping Capacity 8 persons)

The Tent
More generously proportioned than ever before, the Outwell
Sun Valley 8 is in a tunnel tent class of its own. With sleeping
space for up to 8 persons in the pre-attached inner tents. Carefully designed details such as light cable
tidies and organiser pockets in the living area add to the ease
of camping life in this amazing tent. A prominent feature, the
panorama windows come complete with inside bottom-up curtains that ensure
both privacy and eye-level view. Low light windows enable early
morning weather checks or watching the sunrise from a comfy
horizontal position. The zip-off front awning adds an attractive
final touch and provides a roomy sitting area.

Erection / Pitching
Pitching for the first time took around an
hour for but obviously this time will reduce with practice. The
pitching instructions state to start pitching from the rear and
peg out but personally we found it a lot easier to start from
the front and unzipping all the doors.

Verdict
The first time we used this tent we had
thunderstorms with very heavy rain and the Sun Valley 8 took all
that was thrown at it with no problems at all. It’s a very spacious
tent with plenty of room in the living area for all the kitchen
furniture and chairs etc and still have space to move around
unobstructed.
The porch is an ideal place to cook or watch
the world go by sheltered from the weather. We would definitely
recommend the purchase of a ‘footprint groundsheet’ to protect
the tent groundsheet (it also assists in insulation from the
cold floor).
The tent has instilled us with confidence in
it’s ability to cope with the British weather and we can’t wait
to use it again.
We love this tent but would prefer the porch
area to be a little bit larger.
