Peridot Air Tent
(Sleeping Capacity 3 persons)

The Tent
The Peridot Air Tent is a 3 berth
dome tent and is unique in that it has no poles to erect
but relies on rigid air tubes to hold the tent up. The
tent is supplied with a double action hand air pump to
inflate the tent and erecting the tent is simplicity
itself. The tent comes with all the expected refinements
in a modern day tent and is extremely stable in adverse
weather conditions. Unlike a tent using tent poles to
hold it up, if the wind gets that strong and the tent
collapses, this one just bounces back up, unlike the
poled one which more than likely require a pole or two
replacing. There is adequate storage space at the front
of the tent for storing your wet gear and is an ideal
tent for those who want a very quick erect tent for
those weekends away. The tent is made to a very high
specification (see below) and is designed to ensure
comfort and durability.

Erection / Pitching
This has to be one of the easiest and
quickest tents to erect on the market today. Locate the
inner tent, connect hand pump to valve and inflate, the
tent will be erect in about one minute. Secure flysheet
to the inner tent by the very large Velcro pads and peg
down, That’s it, job done, sit back and enjoy that
chilled glass of chardonnay or other fruit based drink
and admire your handy work. The whole tent is up and
fully pegged down in less than five minutes. What more
can we say.

The Verdict
This has to be one of the best tents
in its class, if you are after a small dome tent that is
easy and quick to erect, look no further. To say we were
not impressed is an understatement; this is a great tent
with more than enough room for this class of tent with
the addition of this very quick erection system and very
good quality components. The only drawback is the weight
and pack size would probably rule it out of the back
packing market but otherwise this is a winner.
