About the site and the
area
A family run
Camping and Caravan Park in Dentdale. The site is
conveniently situated close to the centre of Dent, within
easy walking distance of all amenities, shops, pubs and
places to eat and with superb views of the surrounding
hills. Dentdale is a timeless, peaceful dale to
spend a relaxing holiday, and is a perfect base for
walking, cycling or touring, by car or using the famous
Settle Carlisle railway. It is within easy reach of all
the Yorkshire Dales, the Eden Valley and much of the
Lake District. There is an outstanding variety of walks,
from a rewarding fell walk to the top of Whernside, one
of the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks, to a delightful
riverside stroll along part of the Dales Way, which
passes through Dentdale
From the site you can walk into the village where you
will find cobble streets, village store, two pubs, and
numerous eating places.

accommodates Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and has toilets,
showers, chemical disposal point, electric
hook-ups. Dogs are welcome
but must be kept on leads at all times.

The local village offers a shop many eating places and two
pubs, the site reception also has a small shop providing for
basic needs.

About the site and the
area
An award winning park
set in 40 acres of quiet countryside landscaped to
enhance its natural beauty. Local limestone
has been used by craftsmen to make traditional stone
walls, planting of Birch, Alder, Rowan, Hazel and Wild
Cherry has been carefully planned to fit in with the
environment and encourage wildlife. Several touring
areas, some hard standing with gravel for an awning,
others all grass, each have their own distinct character
and are separated from each other.
Facilities
on site
The site
accommodates Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents and has
Modern toilet
blocks equipped with individual wash cubicles, baby
baths, hairdryers, electric shaver points and heating for
the winter months. The laundry is fitted with modern washing
machines and tumble driers, and there is free use of a iron.
Tasty snacks and meals, either for taking away or eating in,
can be enjoyed at the Sweetbriar eating place at reasonable
prices.
Local Facilities and
Attractions off site
Towns and
villages in the area including the market town of Penrith,
Carlisle, Kendal, and Keswick. Local markets are
available at Appleby and Penrith. The Rheged visitors’
centre is a short drive away, well worth a visit. Mountains,
lakes and woodland trails are a feature of the area not to
be missed on your visit to Wild Rose. Local
attractions include the Pennines and the Lakeland pikes and
the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway.
